As one of Florida's strongest and fastest

been operating since 1983 with our headquarters in Panama City and offices
throughout North and Central Florida. It is our intention to have the most

In August of 1983, Peoples First
Financial Savings and Loan Association opened for business in Panama City,
Florida. Under the leadership of Joseph F. Chapman, III, Peoples First has grown
to include banking centers and loan production offices throughout North and
Central Florida. Headquartered in Panama City, Peoples First also has operations
in Pensacola, Fort Walton, Destin, Marianna, Tallahassee, Jacksonville Beach,
Orlando and Niceville with many more scheduled to open in the near future.
In January 1995, the bank's name was changed to Peoples First Community
Bank. "The new name better represents what Peoples First really is -- a full
service bank with a full range of banking products, focused on having the most
satisfied customers," stated Joe Chapman, founder and Chairman of the Board.
The stability of the Board of Directors and the senior management team
has greatly contributed to the growth and profitability of the bank. The Board
of Directors is a solid group of professional business people who are involved
in making contributions to the development and improvement of the community. Mr.
Chapman and senior management direct the bank on a daily basis and are committed
to a strategy of controlled, but continued growth.
Peoples First has a
"vision" to position itself into the 21st Century and beyond. With total assets
in excess of $1 billion, the bank strives to attain reasonable growth well into
the 21st century. Peoples First stresses the importance of being a good
corporate citizen, now and in the future, through community involvement and by
providing financial assistance to approximately 200 organizations annually. By
offering competitive, yet flexible products and having an unsurpassed customer
service level, Peoples First will continue to have the most satisfied customers.

The bank has surpassed several milestones since its
inception in 1983. Peoples First was recently recognized by Florida Trend
magazine as one of Florida's fastest growing financial institutions and ranked
sixth in total assets among Florida thrifts. By offering flexible terms and
